Admiralty Bay's sailing village
Port Elizabeth is the main town on Bequia, set on Admiralty Bay with a ferry harbor and the small J.F. Mitchell Airport (BQU). It is a favorite anchorage on the Grenadines cruising route.
Bequia has a long tradition of boatbuilding and, historically, whaling under an aboriginal quota. Port Elizabeth grew as the island's trading and ferry hub.
