Hull is a port city on the Humber estuary in East Yorkshire, running overnight ferries to the Netherlands and Belgium. Its restored old town and marina surround the Deep aquarium.
Founded as a medieval wool port, Hull grew into a major fishing and trading harbour and was the home town of anti-slavery campaigner William Wilberforce. It was the 2017 UK City of Culture.
