Ebeye is a small, densely populated islet on Kwajalein Atoll, connected by regular passenger ferry across the lagoon to Kwajalein's Bucholz Army Airfield. It has a busy harbor and serves as the atoll's main civilian community.
Ebeye grew rapidly when Marshallese workers relocated there to support the US Army missile testing installation on neighboring Kwajalein Island. It remains closely tied to that base for employment and transport.
